A strong start to 2023

Reach Robotics has had a strong start to 2023 with major company and customer milestones achieved! Today, we’re reflecting on our first quarter highlights and celebrating the wins – here’s the run down:

🎮 We upgraded our Reach Control software! This latest version features a refined user interface, interactive tutorials, Simulation Mode and much more.

Upgraded version of our Reach Control software

✋ Katrina Marshall, an engineering student attending University of Sydney, completed her summer internship program with us. Using camera-tracking technology, she was able to control the Bravo with her own arm!

📔 Researchers from the University of Girona in Spain have been working with our Bravo 7 integrated on their Girona1000 AUV. Their research explores remote intervention for Offshore Energy. Check out their incredible demonstration below and keep your eye out for our Case Study coming soon!

🔧 Did you know, our Bravo arms can be used with Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) to conduct hazardous missions such as clearance, disposal of explosives, and substance sampling? Get all the details here.

🌊 Attended Oceanology International Americas exhibition in San Diego where we met with some leading industry peers and showcased our subsea technology.

Command Pods

Command Pods are a pair of space mouse controllers comprising of left and right units. They are designed to attach to an ROV control tablet and allow full system control from one interface. The Command Pod configuration simplifies control of a dual-manipulator system as operators are able to intuitively control both arms, while still piloting the vehicle.
The joystick model allows for arms to be directed towards a target while the system automatically maps the arms configuration along that path.

MASTER ARMS

Compatible with all Reach Robotics manipulators, the Master Arm controller is available in five and seven-function models to mimic your robotic arm. Achieve unparalleled precision and accuracy while undertaking complex tasks including:
  • Precise placement of probes for crack and corrosion monitoring.
  • Place and recover objects with unmatched dexterity and minimised
    workload.
  • Attach hooks and shackles consistently.
  • Reach confined areas unreachable with lower degree-of-freedom manipulators
    and traditional control methods.
