Closing Out 2022 on a High Note!

2022 at Reach Robotics has been extremely memorable as we rebranded our business, almost doubled our team and worked closely with customers around the world to deliver advanced robotic intervention systems.

With December drawing to a close, we’re reflecting on our final quarter. Here are the highlights:

🦾 We caught up with The Interactive and Robotics Systems Lab (IRS Lab) in Spain to learn how they’re using our Reach Bravo manipulator to test remote robotic nuclear servicing.

🕹 We introduced our new Master Pilot Controllers at Land Forces – Australia’s largest defence industry exposition. The new system mimics the users own movements for the most intuitive remote operation experience yet!

🇺🇸 We onboarded our first North American Sales Engineer, Curtis Opsahl to support a growing client base in the USA. Curtis has hit the ground running and is already an asset to our team!

❌ We exhibited at RobotX in Sydney! Our team enjoyed meeting the competitors and supporting university students endeavouring to develop autonomous and robotic systems for maritime.

💡 Our friends at Topaz Subsea told us how they use the Reach Light to illuminate underwater work when assisting marine researchers, helping fisheries and working with the water police!

Company Milestones: Highlighting glimpse of the year

Company Milestones

➕ Our team has grown to 40+ talented individuals and welcomed 3 new interns to join us over the summer

✅ Ticked over 500+ units sold world-wide, advancing robotic intervention activity in multiple industries.

Command Pods

Command Pods are a pair of space mouse controllers comprising of left and right units. They are designed to attach to an ROV control tablet and allow full system control from one interface. The Command Pod configuration simplifies control of a dual-manipulator system as operators are able to intuitively control both arms, while still piloting the vehicle.
The joystick model allows for arms to be directed towards a target while the system automatically maps the arms configuration along that path.

MASTER ARMS

Compatible with all Reach Robotics manipulators, the Master Arm controller is available in five and seven-function models to mimic your robotic arm. Achieve unparalleled precision and accuracy while undertaking complex tasks including:
  • Precise placement of probes for crack and corrosion monitoring.
  • Place and recover objects with unmatched dexterity and minimised
    workload.
  • Attach hooks and shackles consistently.
  • Reach confined areas unreachable with lower degree-of-freedom manipulators
    and traditional control methods.
