Our multifunction and rotating manipulator arms are designed for underwater ROVs, unmanned ground vehicles, and other platforms operating in harsh environments. Developed to withstand the pressures of the deep, they are built tough and can be deployed in subsea, nuclear, and land domains with confidence.

Reach Robotics ROV manipulator arms offer a lightweight design and best-in-class performance and lift capacity for an electric underwater robotic arm. Available in a range of configurations up to 7-Functions, 6 Degrees of Freedom, they are well suited to a range of robotic applications. FAQ's ABOUT MANIPULATOR ARM

A manipulator arm is a robot system comprised of rotational (‘revolute’) joints and linear/telescopic (‘prismatic’) joints which enable an end-effector (a hand, jaws, a camera, or other sensor) to be moved to a certain position and orientation. They are used across a variety of industries.

Reach Robotics offers two manipulator arms, the Reach Alpha and the Reach Bravo.

Reach Robotics manipulators range from 1 to 8 Degrees of Freedom depending on the use-case.
Manipulator arms can be controlled by gamepad controllers, on-screen GUI controls, or master arm control devices. Additionally, control can be either by adjusting the velocity and position of each joint individually, or with more advanced kinematic methods that define the position and orientation of the end-effector.
Manipulator arms get used above and below water to cut cables or ropes, conduct advanced Non-destructive testing, carrying out dexterous activities like attaching hooks, turning control inputs, wielding tools, collecting samples, and much more. Manipulator’s arms are used across a number of industries including energy, petrochemical, defense, research, marine science, nuclear, and space. 

The lift capacity of the Reach Alpha manipulator arm at full reach is 2kg. The lift capacity of the Reach Bravo manipulator arm at full reach is 10kg.

The Reach Alpha manipulator arm has a depth rating of 300m. The Reach Bravo manipulator arm has a depth rating of 450MSW.

Underwater the lightweight Reach Alpha manipulator arm weighs just 900g. The stronger Reach Bravo manipulator arm also features a lightweight design, weighing just 4.5kg underwater.
